Is anyone else using it and can confirm the result? After some research, I found this patch tool for 32bit binaries to enable them using up to 4GB of memory in Windows 64bit.įollowing the instructions, there was no crash all weekend without reinstall. People on the internet were talking about this LAA flag and other tweaks to make the game more stable. There was no entry in event log, other than stopped working I think. I check task manager and I noticed FFXIV is using about 800MB ram with a 1.4GB swap file while Im alone with no one around. If the console reports GetisLAA > 0.0000, the patch is not installed correctly. The console should report GetisLAA > 2.0000. Input getislaa into the console and hit enter. Create a custom folder in your C: and throw the exe in there, apply, then throw it back to FNV folder. At first I was thinking it may be something ingame but I was wondering what was causing it. Maybe your system is using some file protection. Alt+TAB didn't work either, when I started the task manager via ctrl+alt+del, I could "kill tree" the executable and get back to the desktop. (system information at bottom) From my many many hours of playing FFXIV, Ive noticed it will crash after being left on about 32-48 hours.

The game was still maximized (game stood still with a windows error popup on the desktop behind it). What is happening is that a 32 bit engine (which is what Sins is built upon) can only use 2 GB. Or the LAA is another patch that is different with the 4GB patch.

I bought the game last Friday, installed it and had a crash at some point. Quoting BingXueZhiYa, reply 6But why when I install the patch the up limit of memory doesn't increase.
